Do you frequently daydream about what strange men look like on the internet, or is this a new hobby? I picture you like the guy from Silence of the Lambs who's trying to wear people's skin...

Yeah I don't understand all the hate....I could understand if JZ was trying to pass off his wheel style as being "functional" for trackdays and things like that...but c'mon....there is no denying that the ish looks good. I mean we all can't be like me and have form AND function (Just kidding John ). I can't wait to see the new wheels buddy!

@randomquickness: WTH you been? Did you finish school in VA yet? Where is this badass Expensive VW you were supposed to be getting

Hey, you're in SoCal?
Ever thought of doing a shoot in the LA river basin. You know, the almost dry canal they use for car chases in movies?

Why is anyone hating on JZ for preferring form over function? The car functions very well to begin with, and not all of us are about function. I like to have my car looking nice. It's not just a car, it's a hobby, and it's just as much of a legitimate hobby to have a car that looks great that you're proud of as it is to eek out every possible horse out of it.

Plus he's a photographer. And an excellent one at that. I'd take his car over many of the clones I see. Not just with 1ers, but I see so many lookalike E46's, E92's, all with the same style rims and the same drop, the same everything. He's also in Cali. Style on the west coast is very JDM influenced and much "louder" than on the east, to say the least. Some people hate on me for having "loud" cosmetic mods and my ride isn't even lowered. Well I'm not sorry I think being able to drive up my girlfriend's driveway when I pick her up is more important than springs on a car I never really track. JZ shouldn't be sorry either. /rant

Also I read the title and thought you were getting rid of the car. I audibly gasped! hahah. Great looking car, and I can't wait to see what's next!

The haters hate every time he makes a thread showing his car. I think he is used to it by now, lol. He always pushes the envelope and does more with his car than anyone ever dreamed of doing with theirs. He's always thinking outside the box and leading the way for show-focused 1series Bimmers. His car is epic, and to all the haters on here, do you want to know the really cool part? Its HIS car. He can do whatever the hell he wants.

I don't care what the haters say. His car stanced looks way better than half the shit on this forum. No offense but the truth hurts. thez99, let me see some pics of your car and compare it to mine or jzhang's 135i. And since you're so obsessed with function, what power mods/suspension modifications have you done?

Sorry bud, not gonna go thru a laundry list of "im better than u" mods, this isnt a competition, you just try n look at it that way...

Im very happy with the way my 1er looks and drives, If I wasn't, I wouldnt have bought her. Modding is really just an addictive hobby of mine ive done with all my past cars.

I mod when i have the money and for my own pleasure and satisfaction, not to impress assholes on a forum

Ive unsubscribed this thread, no point in just reading continued lame posts trying to attack me and my car. Its a shame the admins dont do somethin bout it..theres a big difference between honestly giving a simple opinion on someones choices versus verbally attacking that person and his car in insulting ways..

You can try and argue his case but I look at those wheels on that car and all i see is them sticking out past the fender, the tires WAY too stretched on them, a wheel begging for curbage and a ride that has to suck. I look for functionality AND visually pleasing wheels and tires, and get ones that i can stick with for a long time. Wheels n tires are an expense as hell type of modding unless you just get the cheapest shit around, but still youre paying atleast 800-1000 for the set.

Either way, i just figure your a lucky guy not to rub all to hell and have a shitty riide as far as comfort goes with a setup like that, you're sacrificing wider tires for having way wider wheels and having to run shallower tires just to fit inside the fenders barely.

I mean..you should never view directly behind a car and see the persons wheels poking outside of the rear tires...just doesnt make sense

apparently it does to jz, so seriously let it go. Haters will hate Jz, it's just what they do. As stated before Jz is a innovator for the E82 ::Period::
