Stav's 1M

So After Owning a e46 m3 and extensively modifying it i decided to sell it and get myself something with boost.
4 weeks ago I took delivery of a e82 1M and absolutely love it. I was supposed to keep a updated post about it but completely forgot so I'll try to make up for what I've missed so far.

Few pictures from the day I collected it

Car was completely stock apart from black fender grills and a custom highteck cat back exhaust

Day 1

Before my 1M arrived I was starting to collect a few parts and supplies.
The day the car arrived I had it pulled apart I replaced the oil and filter with OEM twin power 5W-30, added a BMS catch can and a Direct fit Wagner Evo 1 intercooler

Week 2

So the week before the car arrived I organise a H&R suspension kit to fix the massive gap between the fender and the front wheel it was installed on Monday of the second week of ownership of the car.

I also messed around with a jb4 unit I had sitting in my garage but decided to remove it after a 15min test drive as I don't think they were designed to work with the 1M.

Week 3 was quite busy as many small things happened

I had a set of 10-15mm spacers but couldn't install them due to not having the correct lug nuts.
I ordered a ECS 75mm wheel stud conversion and then booked to have my vsrf downpipes installed.

I also had a second successful attempt at installing my vsrf charge pipe after i had it re painted due to throwing it across my street on my first failed install attempt on day 1 of ownership. I absolutely hated this job but some people say it's easy

I removed the M badge from the boot as I've never really liked having badges on my cars.

The last thing I did that week was put the car on a dyno sadly I picked the worst day as it was extremely hot but the car made 303 whp on a factory tune with only a cat back exhaust and charge pipe installed

Week 4
some of my favourite changes were made to the car on the 4th week of ownership

On Monday my bimmer geeks cable arrived so I got myself a cheep tablet and downloaded MHD and the appropriate licences after trying the stage 1+ map I was extremely disappointed as I felt the power was way to aggressive and made the car annoying to drive in daily situations so I went back to a stock tune

My ECS stud conversion kit also arrived so I had the opportunity to mount my 10 rear 15 front spacer setup.
I very quickly released this wouldn't work and must thank another member and friend Rajvosa for his help lending me a 12mm set to get my stance correct.
Currently car is running 12 rear 10 front and looks amazing on stock wheel size

I also had my downpipes installed that week and finally got to check out the underside of the car.
I'm absolutely loving the sound of the car it's a little more aggressive and the sound of the turbos is absolutely amazing when the waist gates open or when the boost stars building.

I installed mhd stage 2+ and absolutely love it now the power is smooth but the M mode feature still works allowing me to go from comfortable and refined to absolutely crazy with obnoxious Machine gun like exhaust pops.
The car is insanity quick now and completely surpasses my driving skill and the grip of the rear 265 PSS's I'm literally scared of it.

Nice work, you haven't wasted any time with the basics. They're very enjoyable cars if you don't ruin them attempting to make them stand toe to toe with a track-spec evo or be the next 1 series in the 10's haha.

Haha thanks mate. The car is fast enough as it is eventually I'll get inlets, intake and a custom tune but I don't really want to mess around with turbos.

Are you running a tune already? Speak to previous owner if you aren’t sure. Might be tuned

Prev owner said stock tune. Suspect was reverted to stock tune. Only part on now is the akra.

Certainly doesnt feel like a custom tune.

You need to figure out if you car has Akra downpipes send me a picture of the front section of the exhaust just next to the front drivers side wheel.

If it has the downpipes it would be running some kind of tune to suppress the Engine light

I think you car was previously running a evolve stage 3 custom tune
Ask the seller if he can send it to you

Wheel well's

Haven't done much to car for a while as it's been in the garage pulled apart wiring for some parts

Anyway I decided to fix the rub on the fender liners and ended up giving the car a complete OCD underside and wheel wheel detail. I can't believe how much dirt got trapped all the underside covers.
