I hadn't done either, until last weekend I was watching HBO while working and the movie came on. For some reason I left it on... it was absolutely awful. Do not recommend.

I watched it for the same reason last weekend too. I've only ever flipped through the book to find funny phrases while shopping, but I'm positive the movie is better solely because you don't have to look at that god awful writing. At least with the movie your disappointment is interspersed with boob shots.

I looked up some of those quotes... the hamster one was particularly disturbing. The boobs couldn't compensate for the horrendous acting and lack of any sense. I actually looked it up afterwards, and turns out the movie was so terrible because the author refused to give up pretty much any creative control.
