iCarbon: NEW E8x Carbon Fiber Hood and Trunk Pre-Order!!

Yea, my rear diffuser and front lip arrived at HPF here in Portland yesterday!!! Going out there tomorrow for the Oregon BMW CCA meet up to watch them dyno their HPF car, then go for a cruise, enjoy a show car display, BBQ and beer...vendors with swag for raffles... Best part will be seeing my first two-of-four iCarbon parts!!

They're just about finished is my understanding. Be patient, they explained what happened, their nightmare move pushed everything back. You don't think they want to release them ASAP? No worries, they'll make good on their word of "soon". They have had good report with their lip and diffuser, they're not gonna flake on the 2 pieces that will set them apart from almost every other company making parts for this car.

Just have a little faith and patience. Andy and the iCarbon guys will not disappoint.

really like the icarbon vented hood with the power bulge, want to know though..

- are there any options on the market that can match the paint colour eg. black sapphire metallic
- I noticed icarbon are developing one with honeycomb vents on the hood instead of grill/slat vents, is this finished development or still coming

Are you referring to the m3 like hood? Because thee arevtwo hoods being produce and that is one of them.

They should be finish soon since that was what I paid for lol. As far as painting, I would assume you can take it to your local shop to get it down. Check with ICS to see if they can pre-paint it for your prior to shipping. I don't think there are ANY on BSM simply because its still in production. I know I am getting it painted, but I have AW.

@Simon_135 -- I might have already asked you this... but where are you getting yours painted? I have an ICS hood coming as well and my car is also AW.

I got a recommendation from the guys at Dynotech Motorsports (in Oceanside) to a paint shop in Carlsbad. However, I kinda feel like it would be good to go with a high-volume auto collision shop since they well be very used to the mysterious art known as paint-tone-matching.

Not sure where you are located, but it all depends on your color... Black is the easiest and in my opinion AW is a biatch to match. I have AW and for my front bumper and side skirts I went to the shop right next to EuroAutoSpot. They are pretty good for the price (They are in Miramar). You might also want to check with ACG, and Peter (In Convoy) to see if they have a paint guy. Peter have the hook ups and also very good pricing!

He got his a little earlier than others simply because our authorized dealer in Japan pre-ordered a few to have way before we ever even launched the pre-production order

Everything is almost done!! Will post an update a little later today. Sorry guys, SEMA is taking up 23 hrs of the day!
