If you read about halfway down the page in the FAQ section, they describe sending your ECU in if you don't live near a Dinan dealer. |

I see it now. I was looking at the power package P1 which is just 10% off vs the Stage 2 tune. Power pkg = Stage 2 + exhaust.

You just need the tune. As usual an exhaust will provide nominal gains particularly on a car like the 135i that already has a great system.

The BMW PPK goes from 300 HP & 300 torque, to 320 HP, but then limits the torque gain on the MT & DCT. Torque goes to 335 fit AT but only 317 for MT & DCT.
Dinan info is a bit confusing. It says gains are 47hp & 65 torque, but then also says it goes to 355 HP & 401 torque? Not sure which is correct & also lists No difference between AT, MT and DCT? I have the PPK currently, but even for the lower figures that's a solid bump over stock. Last edited by Gangplank; 01-29-2017 at 09:34 AM.. |

So I just saw on their Facebook page that the sale started on Thursday. I was worried it had been going on for over a week and I might miss my opportunity. So I think if I can get it done next week, the sale will still be on.

On a side note, this will also make me seriously consider doing the S2 tune also at this price. Especially if the throttle issues I've been experiencing is improved with my DCT. I've been waiting on the MHD but because I have a 2013, I have to wait for them to figure out the bugs with doing a bench flash. Going to a proven and reliable flash with Dinan at this price is really tempting. I'll be making some phone calls come Monday. |

And Dinan's info is confusing. Says 335 & 401 but also says it's +47HP & +65 torque. Not sure which is right, not that it matters. Last edited by Gangplank; 01-29-2017 at 09:37 AM.. |

Your post was just another one recently where the numbers were posted incorrectly about the PPK and the 6MT/DCT hence why I posted the way I did. The one thing I also noticed about what Dinan is offering for parts on our cars seem to be diminishing. They don't list their LSD anymore nor do I see the suspension spring kits. I wonder if this is just the beginning of them looking to liquidate inventory to eventually drop support for the E82/88 platform. |

Perhaps the issues with the dinan is like the usual confusion around performance tuners brocures/website. One figure may be WHP and the other is at the engine numbers.
Just my 2 cents. And biggest bang for buck if you have 2011&older-> MHD ;-) |

A couple points regarding the confusion around Dinan's numbers:
So for those wondering, with 93 octane you can realistically expect to make 355 HP and 401 lb. ft. of torque with the S2 software and free flow exhaust, though the muffler itself is likely negligible and not completely necessary (excellent sound though). |

In support of what zx10guy said regarding PPK hp and torque, here's a short article from Car and Driver on the subject:
http://blog.caranddriver.com/bmw-per...599-add-20-hp/ Edit: I posted this article elsewhere in this forum but thought it was appropriate to post it here as well.

I stopped by an indie Dinan dealer to ask some questions. Didn't expect to be sitting here having the S2 tune flashed into my car as we speak.

I want to schedule this asap... anyone have experience stage 1 vs stage 2??? I have the oil cooler already so I'm eligible for stage 2.
What I'm wondering is will I be happy with the power / tq from s1? I don't want to stress the motor with s2. |

Do you need additional hardware like an oil cooler or radiator fan to move from PPK to Stage 2?
