N55 MHD Log Check

Hey everyone,

I recently went to stage 2+ on a 2011 135i N55 DCT (~43k miles) with:

VRSF catless downpipe

Wagner Tuning EVO 1 intercooler

VRSF chargepipe

NGK 97506 "2 Step Colder" spark plugs gapped to 0.20.

I've noticed timing being pulled up to -5.7° and my boost pressure is not meeting target. Could these be symptoms of a bad boost solenoid?

Vehicle is located in NorCal on 91 pump gas.

Hey everyone,

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I haven't really seen anyone's logs go to -5.7° which is why I am a bit concerned.

Thanks!

Shit gas. Try finding a way to bump the octane up a few points and check logs again.

You're underboosting quite a bit. maybe try turning wastegate up or seeing if u have a boost leak. Also timing can be better, ramping up looks good, maybe try and throw some e85 in there?

His boost is fine. That is just the stock turbo tapering off to 12psi as usual... he is right on target load and WGDC is low to hit that target, so, I don't see any issue there. Just needs more octane to clean up the timing corrections. TT is on the east coast where our 91aki actually performs like 91aki instead of 89aki lol Hard to make maps that increase power over stock safely when the fuel people are using probably knocks on the STOCK map.

Thanks! I will dig around through this document. Looks like I might have a boost leak or boost solenoid issue. Will fix that this weekend and see if it helps.

Thanks for the reply man. I put 1.6 gallons of e85 into the tank to make an ~e20 blend. Ran another pull and had the same problem with similar timing correction.

Thanks for taking a look. I put some e85 in the tank and was still running into the same problem with timing. Is it a big concern to run so much correction? Should I de-tune until I can figure out the problem?

Post up another log if you can. Why and when did you change the plugs? Could be related? Gapped to .02"?
