I bought a Garmin Nuvi 360 for $249. We use it in our X3 and I'll be using it in the 135.

I think it's way, way overpriced - but I'd still go for it as I know I constantly be regretting it if I didn't. Having said that if it only did Nav, and didn't have the car setup features / MP3 display etc I'd pass. Plus it's not like on VW's / Audis / older BMW's where it's relativly straight forward and cheaper to retrofit. The way it's all integrated in the dash and the whole IDrive controller thing, probably rules a retrofit out, or at least I'd imagine so. |

If you have money to burn, then burn some more and get NAV.
A TOY option for yuppies to brag about. Hey, did you get the NAV? If you travel ALOT, or get lost in your backyard, get NAV. |

Money to burn? What about if the car is a business expense and you are getting 40-45% off because of tax savings? Is it worth it then?

Try living in Europe without it. Nav is essential here as traveling from point A to point B usually involves many A road changes and driving through unfamiliar cities can be a nightmare. Plus, having the system alert you to backed up traffic is great as that can occur frequently and very unexpectedly and massively hamper your progress. But I'd say spending $2,000 on $500 wheels is more in line with money to burn.
