Comparing the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S to Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 - in terms of the fronts... They seem more compliant. I wouldn't necessarily call them softer but maybe so. They just seem mildly more compliant over bumps in the road. Could be that the bay area also fixed some of these bumps in the last few weeks but I doubt it. Passed another 1'er today on the road just now too. They had debadged it but it looked like a newer 135i.

Just basically got a "we don't want to do that" estimate on my custom widebody. $20k without paint HAHAHA they could have just said they didn't wanna do it instead of give me some dumb price. Just makes them look silly.

Finally installed my second ebay LED headlight bulb, the first set had a bad bulb. They aren't as bright as the fancy kits, but they are brighter than the stock headlights and much more attractive. The passenger side headlight is a pain, the extra modules on the LED light are moving around in there and causing issues with the headlight motor. Gonna have to find a way to secure the dongles.

I corrected my tire pressure.

All who have MPSS tires, what pressure do you run them at?

I was referring to your post about the tires. When I went back and looked at your previous post I realized what you were saying... the Michelin's are more compliant than the FFIndy500s. I agree the FFI500s are stiff.

Widebody Time!!!

I was at sandia last weekend and I started to rub to the point where I was afraid my tire mine slice open, so I decided to just fuck my fender up. Im running 255s up front on stock fenders and have been looking into something wider for the front.

Also, Im disappointed on the Daina oil cooler I still had high oil temps and went into limp mode this caused me to lose to an M3!

I just started a 35x35 garage at my place thats why I have dirt piles in the back of the pictures. The first project in my new garage will be a widebody kit and twin oil coolers. Im thinking of getting Evolution Racewerks both the FE and twin oil cooler since they should work together really well. But the 1M front looks better... I have time to decide, any input?

Who is running 285s in the rear? What with rim are you using? Ive seen people posting they have a 285 on a 9.5'' wide rim?

I ask because Evolution Racewerks says you could run a 285 square set up with there widebody.. is anyone running this? I would love to see your 285 square set up!

Im running 265s in the rear I think im shorting myself grip..

some drone videos link below, just a quick phone edit with some quick clips

Sweet jesus how did you manage that with the fender??? I haven't seen 285 on a stock rear fender before but might be possible with just the right offset and suspension stiffness. 255 up front is way too wide for stock, obviously lol. You can go N5tuner fronts for a bit more play room on stock bumper/side skirts or go full OE 1M front for even more space. Rears need flares either way.

As for the oil these cars are known to run hot you just have to change the oil t-stat add some coolers/oil and hope for the best. Running straight water and setting fans to always on can help too.

I think he meant which "They" is more compliant?
The Michelin or the Indy?
Looks like I missed where he answered his question, though.

36psi front, and 39psi rear.
225/F and 255/R, for reference.

Gravel lots are wonderful things (unless you are paint). They're great for testing squeaks and rattles, great for testing suspension clunks, really great for testing sideways motion characteristics and the ability of the car to make clouds of dust

My car needs a bath. Again.

You can run 255s with stock front fenders. Just need camber plates. My track wheels are 255 square.

I am running the ET42 17x9 ARC-8s with 255/40 Ventus RS4s. I have 5mm spacers in front so effective offset is 37mm and 3mm spacers in rear so effective offset of 39mm. Please note that I have 3 series hubs in the rear so this provides me with an extra 10mm of reduced offset per side which allows me to run the same rims front and back. Without this mod you would need around a 49/50 offset for the rear. 18s with 35 series should be the same.

I needed to use the 5mm in front to clear my coilovers as the collars sit low and are close to the tire. Other shock setups may allow you to have the wheel push in even further.

Sorry, I am not sure what the camber is in front. I had the alignment done at a shop that is very experienced with race setups. It is a little aggressive but the car is still primarily a street car so not too crazy. The second picture doesn't quite show it but there is a definite tilt to the wheel when looking at it head on.

I have no rubbing issues.

I chose this setup after seeing this guys setup:
