I'd just buy a new one and pop it in. Shouldn't take more than 10 minutes.

On pretty much all BMWs over the past 10 years, its ok to drive in any circumstance the car will allow you to. If theres a damaging problem, the car will shut down and not allow you to drive. Of course this is speculation and probably only true 90% of the time lol

Yup, I once drove my 2012 X3 hundreds of miles with 6 major malfunctions going on and off the whole way, not sure was left of the car that was functioning properly.

Thank you everyone...
When I was popping off the maf sensor, I glanced down at the chargepipe... It had cracked where the c-clip attaches. I got a guy that my friend referred me to... He's suggesting I just put a sleeve over the cracked part of the chargepipe and attaching it that way. Is this kosher? I apologize for my aloofness, I'm not technically inclined |

100% get a new charge pipe. It's an easy install.

Just so you know for the future. Codes are not accurate diagnoses of problems. They are symptoms themselves. Codes are just clues as to what the problem may be so just because it said the MAF sensor reading was too high doesn't mean the MAF sensor is bad, as you just found out. This applies to almost every diagnostic error code. They're clues, not diagnosis.
