just look at an x5m or x6m and you will see the comparison. you can see all the curves, even with the camo, AND, it falls into line with the timeline of their designers, as the x5m/x6m were fairly recently designed, vs the current m3 front bumpers when they were seen in spy shots years ago...

still love the car and concept and want one, but you don't think it's boxy as hell?

Were are the 6-Piston Brembo Brake Calipers ala M5 F10?
Just look at M5 F10 brakes! On a track car as the M3 and M1 BMW M puts single floating calipers, and on 135i and M5 F10 fixed 6 piston calipers.

As I already reported. A friend of mine is a manager of one of a well known BMW Tuner (they also have the biggest BMW Store in Germany). He told me, that a BMW Supplier is working on a very big brake for the M1. So I think they are not using the actual one at this moment....

Since the M1 mule seems to have borrowed most of the M3 rear suspension, I'd guess that it also has lots of the front suspension bits, and for testing purposes, it was probably easier to just the M3 calipers. Who knows which we'll end up with, the stock 135i six piston brakes aren't exactly well received by the track crowd. Brembo seems to be off their game of late, at least with the 135i and the STI.

A source told me Arvin Meritor prepares a quad titanium exhaust for the M1. So for a while the M1 is using BMW Performance exhaust.

It amazes me that so many people assume what they see on a test mule will be what is on the production car.... Guys, we have no idea. They might just be testing the suspension with this mule, brakes and exhaust can be changed anytime especially since we have almost a whole year until its released.

I agree with you, but no quad would also mean less weight.

Since when does a quad exhaust make it an M car? Plenty of previous M's did not have quads.

Correct, didn't the quad exhaust start with E39 M5 and E46 M3?
