Anyone change their order to a PCD?
Has anyone changed their order to have a performance center delivery after the car was in route?
My car is due into Charleston on the 28th, and I just had the first week of Feb. open up for me, so I'm wondering if I can change my order to take the PCD.

I'm sure they can accomodate you since the cars scheduled for PCD are loaded off of the Charleston port anyways. Doesn't hurt to ask. It'll be great if you're able to; it was a blast!

I'm fairly certain it is not doable this late in the game. When you place an order the car is marked as a priority 9 vehicle = Performance Center Delivery and is handle in a totally different manner than a priority 1 = Customer Sold.
Another factor is time, too short notice for the PCD and it certainly would delay you taking delivery. |

I just called and left a meassage at the PCD with the lady who handles it, so we'll see. My SA is going to hate me. Well, she should have told me about this when I ordered the car, I would have signed up then, that long ago I could have worked out my schedule. Thanks for the info, I have my fingers crossed.

Woo-Hoo!!!
Looks like I can still take the PCD, even this late in the game. They told me I could take delivery on the 13th or 14th of Feb. I just spoke to my SA and she didn't seem to like it too much, said it wasn't possible, then I informed her it is, and I already spoke to the PDC, and gave her the name and # for the contact at the PDC. HA! She then said she would look into it on her end, and told my I would have to trade in my car 2 weeks in advance, like a ED. Not too sure how accurate that it, but I don't care if thats the case. One-way plane ticket to Greenville = $228.00 3 tanks of gas = 120.00 Taking a Performance Center Delivery of my new BMW = PRICELESS

Thanks.
A little off topic, but I thought you weren't supposed to do alot of consistent speed highway driving while breaking your car in. It's 700 miles home from South Carolina for me. I guess I could vary my speed somewhat, but not too much realistically. Any thoughts?

Most of the driving you will do going home from The PC will be at "varying speeds and RPM". Don't sweat it . Just don't go 70mph@6500RPM......
Congratulations on your new car - Performance Center Delivery is the BEST way to take possesion of your new E90. All the reps up there are GREAT at what they do !

Looks like I'll get to know the Dynamic Cruise Control pretty well.
I'm excited about the PCD, and equally excited about a nice respectable road trip with my new BMW. This is my 3rd BMW, but 1st new car delivery. I'm also liking the idea of having a set date. The unknown delivery date is driving me crazy! Thanks in advance to all the people on e90post that took the time to write about their experiences with PCD, the posts definitely inspired me have that kind of delivery experience. I'm sure I'll love it. nice sig marketman
