Nowhere to hide

Well it's just impossible to stay completely free of swirls unless it's silver I guess. Was in service a couple of days ago to fix a bad weather strip and I told them not to wash my car, but they still washed it. Needlessly to say I got some swirls on the trunk and hood, pretty faint but still visible under the sun. The service lady apologized and I didn't demand anything from them, because come to think of it, they are just trying to be nice. My car was pretty dirty so I bet they thought it'd be nice to return it back to me sparkling clean, can't blame them, not a lot of people can meet our enthusiast level of care and perfectionism.

I got over it, car still looks good and I realized that swirls are just too easy to get even if you are super careful, gotta look past it and enjoy the car for what it is.

Get the car detailed by pros, ban wife from driving, ban kid from driving, and kill all living flying pooping things.

Life sucks sometimes.

i have black saph. (e46) and a few swirls. took it to a pro detail shop in my area that is always voted the best in boston. he can get most of them out but said they will eventually come back. said to avoid these types of problems get silver or white only. i think the car looks best in dark colors but i will consider getting ag ti just for the less work it will mean

Agreed, my next car will be black, and I'll learn to live with swirls. Wait a min I'm already learning!
