This should replace my R53 (MINI) as my daily driver (Pending Frau-approval, lol) and will nicely complement the Frau's BSM E91 we just picked up in February

2009 130i hatchback. Interested / salivating over an E82 M1 as my new daily driver, say late 2011...
The 130i is the best car I've had yet and have no intention of outing it - my wife will be it's new mistress, she loves the car and will be happy, I love the car and I still get to do what I want with it M1 tho... |

I'm planning on moving over from the 3er.
I've always wanted an M3, and almost bought the e92 except the price point is getting hard to justify for my needs. Besides, the 3 series has gotten too big and too heavy. The early spy shots of the F30 suggest the 3 series is becoming more and more like the 5 series. I am planning on leasing the M1 (or whatever they ultimately call it). The lease should be up around the same time as 2013-2014 release of the F30 M3. If the M1 doesn't meet expectations, then I can think about the F30. Is there any reason to believe European delivery of the M1 will not be available?? |

You want me to be serious about getting an M1? I will decide when I know more about it. It will have wide fenders, which is good. It will have some scoops and other bling, which I don't care about one way or the other. Not really sure I know anything more about it than that. If I buy one, I would be moving from a 2009 135i. Other contenders include Cayman S and RX-7 if that materializes.

I was looking to get a 135i towards the end of last year before the tax went back up here.....but other events to a precidence and I've had to postpone till mid-summer this year at the earliest.
However, BMW have moved the goal posts since then with the N55/DCT option, and now the M135/1M/whatever is potentially entering the mix as a serious contender. It all depends on final UK spec and prices, and release date of course....all unknown at this time. |

I am waiting at least a year after first production. Last time I hopped on the 135i wagon too fast. Let the kinks be known first and resolved before I make my decision. Should be interesting since in 2012 the Cayman is expected to be refreshed.

that's the plan, I might get rid of the 135i sooner than later so I am ready to pull the trigger as soon as the 1M becomes available |
