2 Series rear seats

I'm sure this is a dumb question, and that the answer is probably "no," but does anyone know if the 2 Series coupe rear seats will fit in a 1 Series coupe?

With enough cutting and hammering, anything is possible. Other than that, I seriously doubt it.

I do love cutting and hammering, but...

I figured there wasn't any harm in asking - I am always amazed by the ingenuity and talent of the people on these boards.

I'm no authority on 2-series rear seat to 1-series conversions, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

Not sure the 2er seats are an upgrade in any way other than possibly being visually newer.

You're probably right - and I wouldn't be spending any time in them anyway. I do think they look nicer though.

I have sat in the newer 2 series style front seats, and I swear they are more comfortable (might just be in my mind).

The only reason I was asking is that my rear seats are slightly worn, and I was thinking of replacing them. Since I like the looks of the 2 series seats better, I just trying to figure out if they would even fit.
