FREE Mod - Can you spot it???

Stole this idea from spaceg135i. A minor little mod but I like the outcome. Are your eyes well-trained enough to see it??? Haters are gonna hate as always, its okay though Oh and thanks spaceg!

You removed those things from the side vents? Looks 1M, how did you do it?

I'd also recommend cutting out that V or X behind the grill too.

Yea I will look into cutting out that thing behind the grill, didnt even notice it haha. Good eye!

Oh and its just a thin little piece of plastic that goes across. It's only attached at the ends. I know some people will think spaceg and I are crazy for taking a little hack saw to our car, but that piece really serves no purpose and I think this cleans up the front a bit. Less is more!

I think it looks great! Do you think you can take a pic from further away?

Sure thing! I'll snap one tomorrow when it's light out. Although it will be pretty hard to see (black/black) but I'll do my best! I think it looks awesome

here is one I took earlier, this is a little bit further away. Does this give you a better idea? It's very subtle but it really changes the look of the front of the car makes it look more beastly haha

Hey, are those the 'blackout roundels' from Khoalty?
Did you also do it for the rear?

Funny thing, I was detailin' my 1er this weekend and thinking of what it'd look like without those. I think it cleans it a bit. I agree they don't serve a purpose except a place to collect bugs.

Looks great, do u have to remove the whole black piece out for the cutting? If so, any links for removing? A DIY would help, and do you just sand it smooth after the cuts? Or is there any tricks? That's what I am gonna copy from you after I finish painting my spoiler!

DIY FTW!

+1

From khoalty the roundels are displayed without the "BMW", so I didn't know if they actually came labeled or not. I was also curious if he made a rear emblem for the 1

Never mind. I couple minutes with photoshop and I have an idea now...I am thinking hard about it now..

It's crazy! It really gives the front a completely different look. It appears more beefy.
