Velcro on the headlight cover. It does not appear to flicker at all. I think you would be very happy with it. I read on someone's post that 5200 matches the eyebrow and it does look that way. I liked the color of the 6200 better. It's nice having the option to change the color temp. Only problem is its a pain in the butt to keep opening the cover and getting a good seal when closing them back up. All on all very happy with the mod!

do you have it set on auto? also I noticed on the 3 series forum some people were saying it flickers and turns really blue when it's turning off any of this?

Set on auto, wouldn't know if it turns really blue when turning off. If it does I wouldn't care. I could look for you if you like.

No, didn't need it as I had a e92 lci. Was surprised when I got the 135 and realized how bad the lights were.

Did not notice it being more blue then what I have the lights set to. No flickering as well.

Mine flickers when lights are "dimming" - i.e. when you lock the car and lights turn off. They flicker and turn blue for a bit before turning off.

Sure maybe that's just the halogens switching off giving it the effect of "dimming", but now when the angel eyes turn off it flickers a couple times, then it turns blue then goes out

Either way the lights definitely used to dim/fade on locking (if your lights are set to auto) and they flicker now instead, which lux has already admitted above... I have a video of it and can upload if you want to see

Where did you guys attach the ballast on the back of the headlight cover? I can't seem to find a place that will fit and not give me an adaptive headlight error!

FINALLY got the V4's installed and I'm a bit disappointed to say the least... V4's still flicker even though LUX specifically states "No flickering on Self Check Sequence". Also when the AE's turn off they seem to go blue for a second even though I have them set @ 5200k

Here's a short video clip of what I'm talking about:

E-mailed Marc @ LUX waiting for a reply now...

Just wondering for anyone else who has the V4 if it flickers when starting the car?

Yes and the reply I got was:

Hi Matthew,

We did design these not do to the flicker on the self-check sequence, however your model car might operate slightly differently then we anticipated. We do not have any fix or solution to prevent this from happening at the moment.

That's bull, when I was having a hard time trying to find a place to put the power control and emailed them. Their response was they hadn't tried them in a one sereis so they couldn't help. Not a very customer oriented dealer if you ask me.

Can you confirm 100% that yours do not flicker when starting the vehicle? One of the main reasons I upgraded from the V3 to the V4 was because they advertisted that they do NOT flicker... I sent them another email asking them what other options I have at this time... Waiting on a reply...
