Noise Parking on a hill?

So everytime I park my car on a high incline hill of any sort and pull up the e-brake leaving my car in gear I hear this crank sound coming from the rear.

I also hear it as i step out or into the car while on a hill.

Any idea if this is normal or somehow related to the e-brake?

Guessing it's the parking brake cable stretching. Sounds like a groaning noise. Normal.

Mine is pretty bad. Nose down hill it has to be in gear otherwise it'll slowly creep forward groaning the whole way. Rear down it holds fine. My last bmw had a similar issue with the parking brake holding.
