Has anyone considered a compound turbo set up for the N54?

Does anyone have a compound set up on a N54?

I've searched utube and have found some really awesome compound set ups, but none for the N54.

I think the N54 could really benefit from a compound set up.

The idea would be to put a single 80mm turbo where the downpipes are..linked right underneath the stock twins.

I know space is limited..

But if this could be done, it would be awesome.

Search utube and see what compound turbo set ups are if your unfamiliar, they are quite ingenious.

With todays turbo tech, compound is pointless on SI engines.

With CI engines, yes it is beneficial.

Stop overthinking and over-complicating things.

Go for it. What could possibly go wrong?

Side note: tuning beyond specification limits of various parts yields to the failure curve.

Why have bigger turbos or a single turbo, that lag between 2k-4k.. if you could have low rpm and high rpm spool with a compound set up.

The new S55 engine has 2, twin scroll turbos which is good.

I really don't believe I'm over thinking or over complicating.

Yes a compound turbo is complicated, but I'm thinking outside the box.
