My car feels fine in auto. I have the kickdown disabled because I think it's stupid and causes more issues than good. I think you'll be very pleased. I know COBB had a lot of issues with the DCT cars. One reason why I specifically bought a DCT.

All of my maps will be custom maps. I'm calling them stage 1 / stage 2 so I have a set of base maps which are a good starting point for custom tuning based on customer demands. MHD will also release maps that will be like what is currently offered within N54 Flasher. I'm not working on the OTS maps.

Is there a current release date for the MHD software for N55? My car is almost stock with just a charge pipe and axle back (and soon to be intercooler) but it seems to me that the Wedge version of the MHD software will be the way to go with my crappy acn91 fuel and DCT.

My friend owns a company and he got the N55 beta files from MHD. I ordered an android tablet and we'll be tuning my car probably next week. I heard the official release is "before christmas"

Damnit, everytime I see a post I click hoping it's a release day post

Will you do a review of how things went after it's all done? Do you have one of the DMEs that need to be bench flashed? Thanks for being a guinea pig!

Just want to say, I really appreciate the dedication to your customers and platform. The DCT always seems to be an after thought or not thought of at all and that really effects the drivability and enjoyment.

Looking forward to release and more updates!

I'm holding back on tuning myself. I have a dct and I don't want any issues. I daily drive my car and can't jeopardize reliability.

I'll start a thread once the first tune is uploaded. My car was built oct 2011 so it doesn't have to be bench flashed. The DCT is kinda laggy now and RPMs rise when I come to a stop with the A/C on so hopefully we can fix that when I install this

ETA is December, but MHD will release more information as that time approaches.

Open beta currently scheduled in 2 weeks. Of course we'll make a dedicated announcement thread.

I can say in my case all of this is incorrect. I have a 2013 135i/DCT with a build date around June/July 2013. I didn't have the SIB done until I brought up the issues with the RPM spikes, throttle lags, and the lurching/stumbling. The SIB was done a couple of months ago. I also had the PPK Stage 2 installed on my car a few months after buying it.

After about a month, the honeymoon ended with the SIB flash where my car exhibited the throttle lag/stumbling problems again. Worse yet, the lurching is back although not as pronounced as it was before the SIB which was downright scary in stop and go traffic having your foot on the brake and the car wanting to jump forward.

If the MHD solves all of these issues, I'd be more than willing to pay the price of admission.

I don't have any throttle issues. So far my DCT feels amazing also.

My understanding is it will work for all N55's. 2011 and early 2012's will work out of the box, but newer models will require a bench flash to unlock the ECU.
@WedgePerformance My 2013 535 is eagerly awaiting a flash. When and where will the announcement be made when it's ready for these vehicles?

Forgive me for my ignorance, but I'm guessing this doesn't have customizable options like a JB4 correct? And speaking of, could you elaborate a bit more as to why this flash tune would be a better alternative to the JB4 in terms of how it affects the car's performance?

Reason I ask is because my JB4 is giving my N55 way too many issues. I'm fed up with it and just want to remove it

@WedgePerformance I'm thinking about getting a Downpipe. Do you tunes eliminate any codes caused by the downpipe? It's my daily driver and I'll need to pass emissions.

It eliminates the light on dash, but you will fail a state OBDII inspection.

The MHD has been out for a long time for the N54, I suggest reading the hundreds of threads on that to get a better understanding of the apps capabilities.

Yes, it has pre-flash options like burble, cold start noise reduction, 3.5bar map sensor. I'm sure there will be more as time goes on.

JB4 is nothing more than a boost controller with a few options. Without a good flash, the car won't run well. Although you could continue to use the JB4 if you want, the car will be much smoother and more predictable without.
