CD Error - CD stuck in player

I put CD into the player and got an error. Try to eject it but it will not come out.
Any ideas on how to get it out?

This has just happened to me, as well, on a new-to-me 2010 128i with (i think) a base sound system. I had not tried the CD player before.

I inserted the CD* but it didn't go in on its own: I had to push the eject button and then it went in. Is this normal?

It did not start automatically; it remained on radio. I selected CD and got a "CD error" message. Tried to eject and nothing. CD seems to be stuck inside the radio.

* - for all you young-un's, a CD is flat silver thingy that has music on it. Yes, I'm old.

Anyone know of a way to manually eject a CD? Thx

Does the motor still run to try and eject? If it does maybe you can help it by slotting a business card or credit card into the slot to try and push the CD onto the rollers more and help it out.

Try holding the eject button for a while & see if it resets it and spits it out.

My CD finally came out couple months after it got stuck.
I was occasionally trying to eject the CD over time and finally got lucky. It came out after probably like after the 10th time trying.
It didn't help that it was borrowed from the local library and we actually had to purchase new one to replace and return it.

Since it came out, I haven't try inserting another one so I don't know if the CD player is okay or not.
I hear that some people stick something in the CD player slot for phone holder or something and I'm thinking that previous owner might have done that and broke it.

That's okay, I installed muffler delete on my car and it actually sounds really good so I find my self not listening to music too much and the radio works fine for news. I also don't drive the car on daily basis.

So my radio IS trying to eject the CD - I couldn’t hear that with the car on but the mechanism is cycling. Still no luck, even with the credit card trick. I’ll keep trying.

Mine is a brand new CD that I was excited to listen to for the first time. Grrr.
