I have no real complaints about runflats, and in fact when I replaced dunlops with bridgestones on my wife's Cooper S it was smoother and quieter and on the whole more pleasant. And considerably cheaper for some reason.

run flats on 1'er sport

I have them on my 135m sport coupe and compared to my last car(honda civic type r with 19"alloys),the BM is far more comfortable. The only problem I had was a puncture after 150 miles.BMW wanted 285 to replace;took it to my local tyre man and he fixed it for 15!!!Plus when you get a warning of a puncture you dont know which wheel it is without visually checking all 4 wheels.

I picked up my 135 last week and I am happy to report that it came with Dunlop RFTs and they are great. My mate runs the Bridgestones on his 123d and they are awful. Looks like BMW have finally sorted this one.

Hi Mike, hows it going with your 135? Mine came with Bridgestones! Be interesting to feel the difference.

I thought the runflats were fine (although a bit harsh) until I hit 10,000 miles and all of a sudden it's back end out all over the place and I'm now struggling to get off to a sharpish start off the mark. Sometimes fun... sometimes bloody dangerous!
