Yes, it was taken in the old port very near my apartment in the west end. On the right of the first pic is where the cruise ships usually are docked.

It is a beautiful area. Take a walk around there at night this time of year to really appreciate it.

Of course, you mean the middle of summer, right?

I like it better this time of year because it's quieter, but it's still not too cold. The Old Port gets pretty jammed with tourists and various festivals and fireworks, etc... during the summer months (not that that's a bad thing). This time of year it's mostly locals it seems.

Trust me. Take the wife out for a nice dinner at one of the many restaurants in the area, and then take a walk along the waterfront you see in the first pic on a nice fall night.

Thanks Tom, I have enough kids already!!!

I haven't been on a proper date with my wife in about a year....no wait, we caught dinner and a movie on the West Island about 6 months ago!!

Agreed, the Old Port without the crowds is charming.

Hey, by the way thanks for the tip in the other thread about getting rid of the front plate holder. I found a good thread with a link for a place to order some bumper plugs. I was trying to think if there is somewhere I can get something like that locally? The only place I could think of is Laser Auto on the west island. I'll have to take that puppy off this weekend and see what the damage is.
