Introduction of a lurker from Cleveland

Hey guys, I've been lurking here for several months and decided to introduce myself today. I was at the dealer this morning and saw a LeMans Blue 135i being dropped off and was pressed for time so I couldn't introduce myself in person, maybe that individual is on here.

Anyways, I bought my 135is in June on an impulse and have been loving every minute of it. I was surfing the dealer website at lunchtime and saw they had a new 135is sitting on the lot and next thing I knew I was shaking the sales rep's hand and saying "I should probably call my wife and let her know I just bought a car." Especially since we have a two year old and live in NE Ohio, not exactly the most practical car in our situation.

I was into the VW and Mini scene years ago. It's great to be back in an enthusiast community. Lots of great info and advice here.

Congratulations and welcome to the 1er community! I'm outside of Cincinnati, but c_ozanich and I ended up at the same meet (Timmayfest) last June in Columbus... maybe you can head down next year.

Is this your daily driver? Winter wheels/tires on order?

BTW, great color choice

Hopefully you can put it away for the upcoming winter, if not, you'll definitely need a set of snow tires, especially if you're out east in the snow belt

c_ozanich: I'll keep an eye out for you in Twinsburg, I stop at the Starbucks there most mornings.

CAVU: I will definitely consider attending the next event. See below for my winter tire explanation.

Kgolf31: I'll keep my eyes open, I'm all over the Cleveland/Akron area so our paths might cross.

tomahawk997: I managed to negotiate just over $8k off of sticker which put me around $41k. If you want the exact numbers I can look them up and PM you.

angler: My wife loves the car but has declined my offers to drive it. I think she's afraid of hurting it.

Bama335: It is my daily driver but my wife and I are able to drive to work together so it's my intention to leave it in the garage on most days during the winter. I'm presently researching winter wheel/tire combos. Leaning towards the recommended package from Tire Rack which is steel rims and Blizzak WS80s. The steelies just look cool.

I'm open to opinions, I daily drive mostly in the suburbs occasionally on the freeway. I like the idea of RFTs but they only have them in the performance version and I'm more interested in snow and ice traction. I'd also love to hear from someone with the steelies, I'd like to find BMW center caps that fit.
