How to usb connect Google Pixel 3
I have a google pixel 3 and it has a usb c port. I'm not sure how to get a cable to go from my phone to the usb port under my arm rest in my car. I know I will need some sort of adapter but I don't know what.
Before this phone I had a iphone 7 that I plugged directly into my bmw. I don't have iDrive. Please any help would be great because I loved the audio quality of my usb connection. The aux is inferior sounding. |

I just tried a USB c to USB cord and it charging my device but no music is able to be steamed. My car is just displaying "Loading..." when I press USB on my car display.
What brand cable did you use? Do you have the pixel 3? I tried the one below below from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B016C...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 |

Also what year is your 1 series? Perhaps the older 1 series like my 2011 don't have the proper compatibility like the newer units. I'm not sure if my unit had MTP compatibility
I'm so confused. I might go back to the iPhone |

If your car does not have enhanced bluetooth (pretty uncommon before 2012), then you won't be able to access media interface of your phone via the center console USB port.
