Decent mechanic in brisbane?

So i'm about 1500km til next service (70kkm)

do NOT want to go to a stealership
will most likely be bringing my own oil (or making a request for something decent)

suggestions would be AMAZING

ED: I've had bad experiences with my last honda at an ordainary everyday mechanic, so want someone more recommended

I've used Brisbane motor works before, they were similar price to the dealer, and i had to pay for a crappy loaner car...

Also used Accelerate Automotive at Coopers Plains and have had good service and experience.

+1 for Mike Webber with my old Audi S3, was going to take it to them with the 130i, but couldn't get down there easily and it was a two day job.

I agree, I found the dealer was actually cheaper than Brisbane Motor Works on some things, I wouldnt recommend them personally.

Had good experiences with Accelerate everytime Ive been there

+1 - Had my car serviced there recently after coming up from Sydney. Fast, reasonable cost and had a good chin wag about the modded 135i in the drive when I picked up mine. Knew his stuff and nice guy

If you're on the Northside, you could try Bavaria Motor Tuning Service in Brendale. I used them for my last service mainly because I work in Brendale. They seem to care about the car, and the cost was reasonable, certainly far cheaper than the dealer.

Does anybody have any experience with Comet Automotive in Albion?

i want it to sound like

catback merging into 2.75" ID muffler... but since it's $2.5k (and i'd rather a 3") i'd say i'll be be going to a decent exhaust shop and getting something custom (but closer to that sound than a 'deep rumble'

and MMW headers are slightly cheaper, and look to be a little better made (and with a bigger ID)... though i haven't heard anything from them lately, so who knows if you can even buy them...

i've been too busy to call anyone lately, but i'm actually due for a service (lucky the last 10kkm have been ENTIRELY highway so i'm not stressed), will have to call around tomorrow

just booked it in with these guys - would have preferred rx but they had a ~2week wait. bavaria was available thursday . the guy (peter) was slightly difficult to understand though, seemed nice enough.

i am northside, brendale should be easy enough to get to really.

i just hope i'll be avaialble thursday to get it there, it's already 1000km overdue

When I had my B7 A4, Comet took care of servicing and parts replacement.

Always cheaper than the dealers (around 30% min).... would beat any competitors price (local)... and service was great.

If I still have this current car when its out of warranty, Comet will be looking after it.
