Front crank seal replacement tool for N55

Does anyone know the correct front crank seal replacement tool for an '12 N55? I've checked Amazon and the tools they sell don't have very high ratings and some say the seal is different between the N54 and N55 yet the tools sold are the same for both. I need to change my front seat but the local dealer wants $1100 for labor as they say it's a 7 hour job Even with a 1 hour lunch break it shouldn't take more than a few hours with the correct removal/install tool. Also, if anyone has the correct tool they want to sell I'd be interested in buying it, even tho I hope to only do this once in the car's life.

Thanks. I've seen these on Amazon but was hoping to find a tool with reviews as the tools on Amazon either have no reviews or say the seal removal tool doesn't work as expected/at all and that the seal installer didn't work correctly for the N55 because of the design of the tool. At least these 2 tools appear to be BMW tools.

Those are the factory tools, the seal remover is a PITA to use... you really need to crank it on there to get it to work.

That's what I've read. I ordered these tools so I'll see how it goes. One review from someone said he had to use a screwdriver to slightly deform the seal in order for the removal tool to "grip" the seal to remove it as the threads on the removal tool are not deep enough to bite into the seal. I'd rather not risk stretching the aluminum around the area the seal seats against.

I also need to figure out why the seal went bad. I only have 37k miles on my car but did read an SIB about an issue with early N55 seals failing prematurely. Hopefully that's all the issue is.
