My CA entered the order when I gave my deposit, and I got the production number that day.

Call them up and find out what's happening. It could be possible that they don't have a slot right now, and they need to wait to get one.

Have Fun,
Rick

Don't get too excited, the "tracking" is very lackluster.

With that being said, production numbers can take a while depending on when your CA orders the car. Sometimes you get a production number the same day. Other times you can wait 3 weeks for the dealer to get another 135i allocation.

Basically it can take anywhere from an hour to a month lol

went back today and got my production number. Dealer said the first slot that they had was for the first week of 09, so looks like a little longer the a 2 month wait maybe 3 months...

The tracking on the Owner's Circle is rather lame. :iono: In fact, it took until about two weeks prior to production before I could even enter it on the site. It kept rejecting it. Apparently, they re-use numbers and the system has to be set to recycle the numbers or something.

First week in '09 huh? Well, it only takes 1 week to build the car and I bet they ship about every week or so. With any luck you are looking at a month of transit time plus a week for customs, vehicle prep and dealer delivery. The time should go quickly with the holidays and the end of the year. Well, hopefully.

The 800 number is days faster. The number is 1-800-831-1117; say “Vehicle Production Status” and then read out your production number.

scheduled for production with no confirmed production date. How long does it usually take to get a production slot?

how long does it usually take to get a production date. My ca told me first week of 09. Seems a little odd that it takes 5-6 weeks to get a production date...
