Does the GIAC code disable the check engine light from a non-cat downpipe install?

It can be done on a special request and with a written letter that the vehicle is for off highway use only.

It sells for about $6.40 per gallon. Not bad if you've got software for it, considering 93 is going for about $4.20 in my area.
Am also in Chicago--where did you find that stuff?

Hold on, I have to buy my stock map back from GIAC?

No, not to flash it back to stock. However, if you want stage 1 or stage 2 with race fuel and stock mapping switching, you must purchase the switcher along with programs you would like to have.

Harold,

I checked the GIAC USA web site but couldn't see any info. regarding this Stage 2. Is there any dyno chart available or some specific data which shows us what it brings in addition to Stage 1, which is well documented here.

Also pre-requisits are the same as Stage 1, dps maybe?

EDIT: Nevermind, I think I got it (the chart) from other threads. Still, I appreciate if you could post anything specific or new you may have on Stage 2 to avoid misunderstanding. It's been some time since someone reported on GIAC tune.

That's so true, Thomas was very helpful in Forums though, but don't even know what GIAC would do to promote their products without HP Autowerks.

This may be the same graph you saw on the other tread started by GIAC.

For Stage 2 you will need FMIC, intake and a cat back exhaust. Catless DP would be a nice addition, but not necessary.

There is also an latest update for Stage 2 with even more power, but I don't have the specifics or dyno chart. I should be getting this very new file soon for my personal 1M.

You should make GIAC aware of this. Better from a customer than from a dealer. They will be more likely to listen.

Thanks Harold for the clarification. Please post about the new file too when you have it in your 1M.
