I know that feeling. I sit in front of a computer most of the day and desperately need my daily fix.

Last minute shopping for small things for my first track day next week.

Tomorrow morning all fluids will be replaced and giving the car a general check and double checking the torque values etc.

I am a bit nervous about the brakes, they are stock all round and fresh fluid, im guessing it is fine for my first track day since i will not be pushing really hard.

There is a brake shop at Nürburg that sells performance pads just in case stock fail in 1 session or so, i keep telling myself not to worry too much, it is your first time and learn the car/track and next learn what the car is saying and next track day come prepared, i doubt i will be pushing the car 100% first time.

What is your goal? style or weight savings?

Came across numerous threads about weight savings, i do not mean to add more to your sleepless nights, but from my research Kosei make one of the lightest 18" wheels i could find (18x9 weigh in at 7,2 kgs each if memory serves).

Stock brakes are fine on track. Most of what you read on the forum is people looking for ways to spend money to bling up their car and show off. Drive it, it will be fine especially your first day. Have you tracked other cars?

Never, always wanted to but life does not always go according to plan.

Yeah maybe it is just in my head, but i keep asking myself (or telling myself) what has been done on the car, yes everything i can think of has been replaced/changed (even the wheel bolts are new).

As i said a few pages back, my goal is to learn my car, learn the track, improve and then make modifications according to what i need. If in the future all i need is pads and fluid then so be it, it is a daily car mainly.

Tomorrow is a big day at the garage, fingers crossed everything goes smoothly and no silly stuck bolts make me curse

Style more than anything. The car sees back roads more than anything and that's just purely my enjoyment. It will see a couple track days once I figure out a roll bar but that's not going to determine my wheels. VMR 701's are at the top of my list right now. This picture has me mostly convinced. I ran them on my previous car for a bit too.

My follow up on my Apex EC-7s.
Coming from stock 461's, the darker color took a day to grow on me, because I like the contrast of a light colored wheel against a black car (and really dislike black wheels on anything but a white car), but now they're really starting to grow on me.
Plus, I can now use my 261's as my winter wheel instead of the 141's I have been using for years (I don't like them).
This isn't exactly a Glamor Shot - the lighting isn't great, and the car isn't freshly cleaned, but in overcast light, it gives you an idea what they look like.
I really like the styling of them too, and have coveted them for years. Plus they're quite light.

I like those wheels. They look great on the 1er. They're different from the usual CSL style wheels that most people choose.

I will add that most people get the CSL style wheels for a reason though and that's because they look good, but it's nice to give the 1er a different look plus those wheels just look really good.

So, erm, yeah, those look like crap on your car, let me help you out....

On a more serious note- need to get rid of those zits on the front fenders! Smoked Depot side markers are really inexpensive replacements and look soooooo much better

I know, that orange corner has been the one big thing I've always disliked about the car visually. Actually I'm going to have a full headlight job done - LED rings and a full black matte paint inside the housing and paint over the orange corners. The orange bulb inside will still keep it legal.

There is a forum member who does it, but if I felt like getting a little spendier, check out some of these options like Iron Man LEDs and Demon Eyes:

There you go again, being that generous guy who wants to help out his fellow 1ADDICT.

I'm going to have to think of something you can do for me, just so you feel fulfilled. Hmm...

I'm wanting for some D-Force LTW5 wheels; 15.5 pounds for 17x8.5 (I think that's right), plus the ability to put 255's on them...

But, until I inevitably bend my Tire Rack Cheap'o Sport Edition wheels, I'll run what I brung...

Oh, then yeah don’t worry about the stock pads. First time on track feels like a Formula 1 race but you will not really be taxing the car.
