Ok, a few questions...
a) How was it to use?
b) Was it fun?
c) What were the results like?

I've been considering the foam canon for a while now but kinda want to get my paint fixed up before I do.

Easy to use and quite fun!

I didn't use foam cannon specific soap, just Meguiars gold shampoo I already had. The foam still stuck very well. I will probably break out the wash mitts every few washes, as I'm used to the 2 bucket method. Foam plus mitt should be a good combo. I'll go touchless for maintenance washes, but I'm not sure how effective if the car was really dirty.

Trinova Foam Cannon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072JNQQY9..._MRKiFbCSQHC36

Karcher K1700 Cube Pressure Washer is $109.99 direct from them. https://www.kaercher.com/us/home-gar...BoCqmoQAvD_BwE

Obsessed Garage tested like 50 pressure washers, and this was a top value. The cube version is supposedly identical to the K1700 but lighter and more portable.

I love my foam canon (Snow/Sun Joe), but usually do the two buckets and wash mitts, too.

It's under interior, code off all the comfort stuff, then there's NO_ FSZ or something to that effect that you turn on.

Seems to have worked.

Dropped off a bunch of brake rotors and other scrap at the recycler.

So my car got weighed! Ended up being ~3130lbs (with a 1/4 tank of gas and excluding me). Glad to finally have that answer, I've heard numbers all over the place for how much these weigh. Obviously depends on options and motor, etc. But a manual pre-LCI 128i with a sunroof and electric seats, it's under 3200.

There's a recall on the Blower fan, just FYI.

Threw this extremely overpriced bad boy on and now realized I need to spend more money on the flat black 1m console trim to actually love it. It's much more comfy than a lot of ppl claim it is **at least to me** But maybe I just have bitch hands

Long weekend... Finally got 'er back!

Friend texted in a panic the night before. "It's giving me partition errors and the top won't open. And yesterday it said "Service Soon." Now it says "Service Now." (Service Due?)

I told her it should be safe to drive as long as it feels normal, but was kinda freaking out on the inside.

Got her back.
Partition was closed. Didn't figure that would be a big deal. Wasn't.
No warning indicators on the IP. Didn't see anything untoward on the iDrive display.
Hooked up MHD and ran a Scan. No active codes.
Flipped through the Vehicle Status menus.
Regular Service due within 500 miles.
Whew.

If the dealer here is right, you'd better hurry. Apparently there aren't many 1M trim pieces left!

From dealer email on 25 June:

51-16-8-051-991 – NONE left in America, will Back Order from Germany (13 left) – ETA 1 month
51-16-8-051-993 – NONE left in America, will Back Order from Germany (6 left) – ETA 1 month
51-16-8-051-990 – Only 2 left in America ETA 4 business days

(also, I'm with you on the knob. I strongly prefer that knob to the stock one)

Test fit some MParallels.

E39 Fitment
8J ET20
9J ET24
72.56 to 74.1 hub rings

I’d need to do the hub mod and then I could use the 135i rear brakes to get the rear dead flush. I still have some camber I can add in the rear And could probably elongate the holes in the front mounts to get another .2-.3*

I think it looks pretty incredible but I might be biased.

Not even gonna try then lol I always get the run the runaround with that kind of limit quantity until I snap myself out of it and realize those pieces of inventory are probably discrepancies that don't exist and most likely never will. Someone messaged me and told me I'm better off saving the money and wrapping it anyway since the factory installed trim is super smooth and shouldn't be too much of a hassle . We'll see as long as I can deal with it long enough to not platidip it.

i dig this look. They look like Enkei RPF1's, which is the wheel of choice in the s2000 world. What wheels are these?

The lowest I could find them anywhere was getbmwparts dot com. The dealer here price matched so I didn't have to pay shipping. It looks like getbmwparts still has them for the same prices: $117, $57, and $95. I personally think it was completely worth it. (I had the glacier aluminum before)

Stumbled back to it after another crushing shift.
