Active Steering?

Hey guys...need some info here. I am hearing mixed messages.

Is active steering standard on the 1 series? Or is it an option? Through bmw.ca, there is no option when building the car. However, there is an option when building a 3 series.

I keep hearing active steering is an option.

I am in Toronto, and am in the middle of debating between a 3 series or 1 series, but I am heavily leaning towards a 1 series.

It's still an option on BMW.ca...it's on 3 - Packages and Options...in the options section right under sport seats and costs $1,500.
