Angry Cooked throwout bearing

Hi all,

Recently put a new clutch into my 135i n54 and only driven it for a very gentle 30km. I started hearing some nasty noises from the clutch area…

Pulled out the box this afternoon and found my throwout bearing is melted in one spot (pic attached).

Anyone got any ideas why this would have occurred?

Cheers

Jay

Edit: think i can answer my own question.

Pic 2: i found this in the bellhousing

Pic 3: looks a lot like metal in the red circle
