Top HiFi Convertible Audio Modernization?
Ive owned my 2011 135i since new. At the time, I didn’t trust touch screens, and wasn’t as aware of just how great Bluetooth integration would be.
I have the Top HiFi/HK/Logic7 system with the professional CD player, and USB/Aux in. I’d really love to get something like the correct snapdragon 625 unit with anti glare, Apple CarPlay wireless, etc. What issues would I need to be aware of? Since my car didn’t come with Bluetooth phone setup, will a retrofit head unit enable the phone controls on the wheel, and is the Bluetooth phone audio any good? Who is the best source for a legit system? Since I have a convertible with seat heaters, how will I deal with the convertible top controls? I think the bmw versions I’ve seen have the seat heater controls, but top controls??? Thanks! |

Check this thread out. It may be your best bet. I assume you don't have Nav I-drive?
https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1675929 If you don't have I-drive, you can retrofit the Andream unit with the screen assembly that will look OEM. |
