If you can swing it, I would own both. I've thought about getting a 135i many times as a "muscle car" and keeping the 128i as the "finesse" car.

i WANT to know how a 135i feels like. I only wanted a 128i because I had an E60 N52 LCI and was always reliable for me.. so I stuck to what I knew! I went from 22k miles to 112k before she got totaled by a drunk driver Thanksgiving weekend 2017.

I just enjoy how nimble and quick she is!

From a pure handling perspective, the additional weight of the 135i is noticeable, but it isn't terrible. Pretty similar to just adding a 200 pound passenger in your 128i.

I have also driven a 400+ hp 135i, and it was glorious. I originally planned on doing track days with my 128i, but converted to motorcycle track days instead. I think the 128i would make a better "balanced" track car than compared to a 135i as well.
