Took a ride to VAC last Saturday to see how she's doing; Lots of progress! Interior was cleaned an prepped for the cage install, supposed to be installed today actually! Everything else is painted and mostly installed. Waiting for the front bumper until some minor engine work gets done; PPK2 install, walnut blasting, maybe more.

UPDATE! I have decided that my 1M will be riding on AIR!

I've done my research and this is not going to be a slammed down stretched tire on a big messy rim setup. Air Lift Performance has an amazing kit that will save weight over a traditional coil-over setup and will give me the ability to have a smooth ride to the track and autocross meets, with being able to adjust the dampers, airbag pressure, & control ride height all in one interface. I feel that we will be seeing more air suspension over coil-overs in the future and I'm and going to support the technology and give it a test run for myself! Wish me luck!

I'll be creating a new thread for the install.... Stay tuned!

Hmm interesting. I have seen this company and their marketing campaign, trying to say their bags are just as quick as coilovers. I have hard time believing they could match some of the top tier coilovers. Interested to hear your results from autocross and track events.

Are you planning to adjust the toe and camber every time you raise and lower the ride height?

Took a ride to VAC over the weekend to check on my lady... Came up with a few issues that I want to see if anyone had problems with as well.

#1 Intercooler issue.... I was hooked up with a killer deal from AgencyPower for their FMIC. However after massive amounts of shroud trimming it still hangs extremely low and we can not install the new 1M front bumper with the Revozport lip because the belly pan will not bolt up properly. Thinking of getting a different intercooler, most likely COBB. Any thoughts!?

#2 Rear window seal. We removed the rear window it seems that there's no outlet to buy just the rear window seal without buying an entire new rear window ($300). So they managed to installit without, but I'm worried about water leakage / air noise over time.

#3 Hood Struts. I upgraded to the M3 part# hood strut but for some odd reason we can not get the hood to properly line up. We're thinking where the hood strut attaches on the new hood maybe incorrect, not too eager to drill new holes in the new hood to test this but has anyone else with the Revozport hood run into this issue?

My shop just had to do little trimming for my FMIC last week as well. I need to find out from Jake what FMIC came with their MOTIV 750 kit (Cobb or ER). We had to do some trimming, but doesn't sound near as much as you have to with your AP one.

I may have a spare new rear window seal. I emailed the shop to see. I'll let you know as soon as he gets back to me.

On a good note.. The car is looking great! Still need to get the walnut blasting done, install the PPK2 electric fan & hoses for 2nd radiator, coding to remove airbag light, install new 1M gauge cluster, then bring her home!

Here's some good shots; photo credit; wifey.

Thanks ilikebmxbikes I just talked to VAC again this morning and apparently it's OK now, they think maybe since the struts were brand new it was a bit too strong still and was pushing the hood up once it was completely down and in the locked position. I'll see it again this coming Friday to confirm it's all good.
