Oil in coolant (N54)
My car has quite a lot of oil in the coolant. The car has never overheated, runs perfectly fine (apart from injectors) and has no obvious signs of head gasket failure.
Are there any other possible causes on the N54? The car has 157,000 km (about 95,000 miles) and is a 2008. The oil filter housing gasket needs to be done because it's leaking like crazy. It is being replaced next week. Is there a coolant vein somewhere around there that could possibly have taken oil in? |

It would make sense. The oil filter housing gasket does its stuff on both coolant and oil circuits.

Oil filter housing gasket is common failure point and can cause this - coolant runs through there.
You should also change your oil when you do the gasket as well as your coolant to fix any cross contamination. |

Oil is fine. No coolant in the oil. Just oil in the coolant.
