Im starting the hunt for a 128i on the West Coast. it will be a daily and occasional track car.

Must haves
- Manual Trans
- Under 80k miles
- Exterior: any Blue or Red, maybe brown (no black,white,silver, or grey)
- Interior: Coral Red, Taupe, Gray (no black)
- Sport package (specifically the good seats)

Nice to haves
- Xenons
- Suspension updates
- Power updates (No 135's though, I want NA)
- Moonroof delete

I know I just knocked out 95% of the cars out there. Hence the ad. Already scanning Craigslist and autotrader an hoping to cast a wider net and maybe find an enthusiasts car. Let me know if you all hear of something. Thanks

Good luck with your hunt. 6 speeds are rare as-is and most of these cars were made in black/white/silver.

It will be a long search for sure. Was thinking of finding a used interior (coral red maybe) then the car search would be that much easier.

i dont think i have seen a manual 128 M-Sport that wasnt black white or silver/gray. Bimmerbobs red one is the only exception. In my search they only other color was the dark blue.

What is the market for these cars now in terms of selling price? I have an 2008 128i, 6MT, sport package, Sedona Red with black interior and I've contemplated selling it to get rid of the car payment but I'm not sure what they go for these days. It's probably not worth selling at this time but I'm still curious.

14-16k is what I'd hope for but I think the mileage would turn off some people for my car. It's good to know that my color might be somewhat rare when combined with the manual and sport package.

That's exactly what I found when conducting my 6 month long search. BimmerBob's isn't an M-Sport though, but does have a standard sport package.

I had a 2009 BMW 128i, LeMans Blue, M-sport 6-MT in Cincinnati, OH. I now have a 2010 BMW 128i, Titanium Silver, M-sport 6-MT, slick top in Atlanta, GA. Just saying...

I've been doing a nationwide search and cars with around 100k are closer to $10k. With those in the 75k mile range around $12k from a private owner. I guess I'll just have to keep searching.

IMO those prices are a steal for a 128i 6MT with sport package. If they're selling that low then I'll be holding on to mine for a while.

I think 10-12k for a 1 series gives you a lot of car. I'm holding on to mine!

Op, check out ebay for a 128i. I spotted 2 this week. Non-black exterior/interiors, and everything your looking for. One even had a slick top in crimson red I believe, very low miles

Ebay only has 2. One meets all my criteria in a big way except price. I'm actually interested in a higher mile car to keep the costs down.

Both cars were bought used... they come up and are made available... Keep looking. I love mine. A slick top, 6MT with manual seats...

Yeah I've been on the hunt for a couple months for a lemans blue MT with sport pkg. pretty hard to come by
