should I remove intake before service?

I am taking my car in for service tomorrow, I took my JB3 out already, do you guys think I should remove my injen intake?

No, you don't have to unless you are paranoid. I took my car in service as is and no problem.

If you're actually having an issue, I'd go ahead and take it off so they don't have something to blame for the problems (and the dealerships WILL blame aftermarket stuff every chance they get).

If you're just getting an oil service, I wouldn't worry about it.

We see the "Intake" bit come up over and over. To me, helping the engine "breathe" better just makes sense (dropped 2.5 seconds on my Focus). If BMW has a performance exhaust, why not allow a better intake?

Plus, do the dealerships have a currently approved "Intake"? Will they install it?

How bad is the current stock intake?

I agree. Two weeks ago my BMW dealer denied a claim on my brakes because they said my coilovers screwed up my brakes.

What kind of brake problem that you were having which triggered them to deny the warranty claim wiht a coil over install? Had you tried to take your car to another BMW dealer for the same warranty service?
