Uh yeah... nice revving bro. I know it's not exactly a high-revving engine but come on.

On the other hand, a dubstep remix of the song in the background could be sick

i do really like this car though, if i buy a new car again this will likely be it.
but damn, they've hyped it up SO much, and the glaring downsides are significant... tacky & ugly fender "vent" thing, same engine as a few other models, probably not that cheap, blatantly stated corner-cutting to get it to market quickly and for the masses (from what i've heard - no production limit for US), etc.

worth the wait? or are you just so tired of waiting and being teased that you're pleased by whatever comes out of M next following this campaign. someone mentioned on the launch thread that they have experienced pavlov's theory... can't help but think of how accurate that is in this example. i'm curious to see if these will have a wait list at US dealers, or rather if they will be piling up on the lots.

either way nice video, good marketing
with roughly 1-2 years left for the e8x body, what did you expect. of course they're going to get a 1m out asap. i wish they had put a different motor is the car.

This is confusing. In this video and the video relased last week before the official unveiling, the angel eyes appear to be LED. However, the official pictures releases last thursday show yellow angel eyes.

The M log in the instrument cluster (tachometer) lights up which I think is a cool touch. I've never seen this in other M cars.

Overall, a nice, aggressive looking fun little car.

It's in the same place as the number on the Z4 and Z3 M cars.

I looked up the production lifce cycles yesterday, and I am sure it's easy for US folks to forget that 1 series production began back in 2004. next year in 2011 probably will be the last or the penultimate year for production of the currrent E8x models.... especially since BMW models typical have a 7 year production window..

great video although I got bored because the song kept repeating itself... drove me crazy! The first time he revved, he barely went over 3000 rpm, anybody knows approximately how much he revved up to when he started the car the second time? my guess not over 4000 rpm, no?

You mean massive body roll, a steering system that is not connected to the front wheels, and the engine note played through the speaker system?!?!?!?!

I'm so getting one of these. The short production cycle for this 1M is going to make it a collectible. I was getting the 135i but I've seen to many on the streets now.

I must say, although in my opinion the engine is slightly underpowered, I'm glad BMW chose the N54 over a slightly tuned N55.

Nice video, too!
