So I've searched the forum and asked around and can't seem to get a solid answer: Will there be a 2012 edition of the 1M? Or has production completely ended for this unicorn and no talk of a future edition?

If you Don't believe what we are telling you. Try this:

Go into your dealer, sit down with your salesperson and ask him/her to bring up your order status on their computer. You can easily see and track the order.

Without a Production number you don't have a build slot, Period.

If you get to 112 you are golden, if not you don't have a car. It's that simple.

There are probably plenty of cars still coming to the US and nobody would bet you couldn't get one of those. The proper bet would be whether or not you could place an order for a car built to your specs at this point. I would place a gentlemans bet that you can't.

In Hong Kong, I was told they are still taking orders (with no confirmed delivery dates) and expecting delivery to be continued until end of 2012. Is it BS?

Probably not. It's the US that isn't getting any 2012 cars. For some other markets production is going to continue until around March.

Well since the car is a 2011 I have heard BMW is trying to fulfill all orders before 2012 and no more 1M's will be sold...

this is the same story in Taiwan.. dealers are taking orders for 2012, with no idea of how many allocations they will get. I was told the builds would start in Feb. Who knows if any of this info is correct...???

How many units of 1M have been registered in Taiwan so far?

Now China has been confirmed 200 units and most of them would be delivered in 2012.

In Hong Kong, I was told there were only 8, but eventually 30 1Ms have been registered already.

p.s. btw,when could you collect yours?

I was told there will be around 70 total in Taiwan, and supposedly 20 are already on the roads. But there is no written proof on any of this. And I was told the car will be ordered in 2012, the build will begin in Feb and I would take delivery sometime April - June 2012..
