Video: Power vs Weight - Modded E90 335i vs E46 M3
A heavily modified, powerful E90 335i vs a heavily modified, light E46 M3. Which one is faster at Laguna Seca Raceway?

I wonder if the MHD cooling table modifications would have helped your heat situation out.
I am on all stock coolers and hit 270f oil at the highest on the 'sport' setting, with no noticeable power reduction, in 90f ambient and at similarly modded M3 pace.

The new MHD coolant table changes really do help. Been meaning to get the BMS thermostat lever to see how that affects things. Don't want to stress the WP too much TBH.

Sean- Does it feel at all lazy having 275s on 9.5j? Seems a little pinched

Love it! Stripped interior 135i would be great on track, as long as you don't encounter limp mode. I think the tune - more boost = added stress is a large part of the problem. Never tried it with stock boost, that would be no fun on track. Quote:
I did have a custom Setrab oil cooler and custom thermostat which opened at a lower temp but still overheated. Quote:
275's on a 9.5 feel great. Per Nitto's site and other tire manufacturers, 275's are acceptable and quite common on a 9.5. Some guys run 10 or 10.5 but then you start running into clearance issues with the strut or fenders and it's a bit heavier.
