iDrive Dropping USB
Hey Guys,
Not sure if anyone else has had this problem, but when I am playing music using a USB connected to my iPhone, the connection drops every once in a while. Music just stops playing, and I have to unplug/replug the cable to get iDrive to recognize the phone again. Anyone have this happen to them? Any ideas for a solution? Thanks in advance for any suggestions. |

I have a simular problem when playing MP3's thru a thumb USB drive. Every once in awhile its like the HU can't recognize the tumb drive. When this happens I must remove and then reinsert the thumb drive. Does this will all types of thumb drives btw. ???

I don't think this is something that happens with all thumb drives. I got Xporter 16GB and it's fine

I have tried four different types/size thub drives. I have this problem with all of them. I suspect something is wrong/defective with my 6FL USB hookup. But it happens so rarely that my dealer doesn't know how to fix this.

This very occasionally happens to my USB key. The idrive will disconnect and require the usb key to be pulled out and plugged back in before it will recognise the music again. It has occured with three different brands of USB key that I have tried of varying sizes so I doubt it is specific to those USB keys in general (toshiba, kingston and iomega 4-16gb sizes).
It is annoying, but doesn't occur often enough for me to look into it any further. |
