And ......... the checkered flag is mine!

Picked the car up this morning at 10. Got a nice 20 minute get acquainted drive into work, and its been sitting in the parking garage downstairs ever since. And to make matters worse I have to fly out of town tomorrow for a day, so really gettin' acquainted is going to have to wait til this weekend. But she's off the boat, she's a beaut, and the keys are in my pocket. See ya all on Hwy 1 sometime soon ...

Congrats! My CA had to take the day off pushing me tonight and at ... I guess second place!? But then again.. I didn't order a IS or 1 Still... these last 30 minutes feel like eternity. Really. I'm getting nervous. Posting a pic?

Thanks! Got to play with her a little more on the ride home tonight ... that DCT is the smoothest shifting automatic I can recall driving. The RWD is going to take a little getting used to after a dozen years with Quattro AWD, definitely has a different feel to it. And gotta learn my corners all over again before I start zipping in and out of traffic. But boy is she quick. Can't stop smiling while I'm driving.

Sadly, I've taken to rubbing the new leather keychain I bought for the new car in hopes that somehow that will get it to the dealer today. The sitting here refusing to work or focus or concentrate I find helps as well.

At least I'm not obsessing or anything. =)

Kitty - where's the pic of your new X1 so I can live vicariously through you, too?

Just talked to my dealer and my car has finally been released and so he's expecting it to get there tomorrow if not late today. So, hopefully only one more day of waiting.

Me and Randy, the last of the beloved IS's...unless yours has shown up today at which point I'll be both pissed and jealous.

She has that new car smell and so worth the wait. Good luck Greg! I know it's painful waiting. I made my guy come on his day off and he was waiting for me for 3 hours to get through new car svcs! Yes, I am worth it.

Looks great! May just want to get a nice tint on there and call it a day. =P Not sure if there's a difference between the new Glacier Silver and the old Titanium Silver, but the color looks perfect for that car.

How you liking it so far? I've been trying desperately to talk a friend of mine OUT of getting an Edge or Jeep Cherokee and into at least test driving an X1 or RDX since the lease payment would be about the same.

Can't wait for my new leatherette smell!

TINTING APPT is scheduled for Monday.
BMW is giving me complimentary tint.

Mine is not even on a carrier yet. Just left my dealer and my car has become very well known here. They are all freaked out by why it has taken 2 weeks to be delivered...

And the wait with no car continues.........

I told my dealer, I think my car may set a new record. I don't know that mine is even ON a carrier, I just know that it was released to a carrier today and still not sure why that meant it will come tomorrow considering it's a whole 60 miles away. Even my grandmother could make that drive in 2 hours on surface streets.

I'm sure yours will be released to the carrier tomorrow then Randy. They give you any info? Or call over to the VPC or whatever we're calling that facility? Mine eventually did. I feel your pain though, trust me.

My CA was off today, so one of the other guys looked it up for me. It has not been released to carrier and does not show it being finalized in the stage for the IS add ons.

They called the VDC on Monday and was told it would be here by tomorrow at the latest, but if it is not on a truck tonight, that won't be happening.

So, another day, another delay. But on the bright side, the finance rate went down another .05% today... Was hoping for $1500 incentive cash or something like that for May.

Lol just a quick Lightroom edit, but I was there! I swung by on my way home to get the shot .. But forgot the parking lot was dirt and couldn't get back in without getting some on the floor matts.
