New Dash Cam

Hi,
I've just bought a Nextbase 422gw dash cam with the hardwire kit and I'm looking for advise as to which fuse to tap into for a permanent live so I can use it for parking mode.
Thank you.

Car is a 61 plate convertible

Are you sure you want it to go to permanent live power?
Does the hardwire kit include a voltage shut off or whatever that little meter is where it shuts off power to the camera when the car voltage starts getting too low?

Otherwise, there's a few threads around here with people wiring cameras and radar detectors (check the DIY and the ConnectedDrive/AV sections), but never hurts to get your own multimeter, and check the fuse you plan to use anyways.

Thanks for reply, the hardwire kit does have a built in voltage protector so should be ok there and not have a flat battery.
Will have a look around to see if I can find the fuse location I require.

Use an 'add a fuse' connector, makes it simple as you dont have to cut any wires.

Here's an example thread (always good to read through to see if anyone has comments/corrections/better ideas, etc):

I've never gotten used to the search feature on this forum so I'll usually start with Google-- " 1addicts, dashcam install" or something like that

Thanks for the replies, installed the wiring today after finding an empty fuse slot with the fuse tap.
All seems to be working okay, but will keep an eye on the battery .
