Haha it was awesome. Got to the dealership at about 11:30, went through all the trickery and drove her to docklands to get the perf. stuff done. Didn't stop smiling the whole way there!

Dropped her off, noted the smell (Normal exhaust fumes on a new car apparently) and drove back to the dealership in a new z4m 3.5si (wow!)

And spent the rest of the day worrying that the smell was because I had the handbreak on (haha, this was ruled out in my above thread about 'handbreak chime')

Pick her up in "two or three days"

Was quoted by my dealer as saying "It was the most fun I've ever had with 4 wheels"

Well mine was quoted at 2-3 days turn around if that's any indication...You have nothing requiring spraying though so surely its a 1-2 day job.

mirror caps can be installed by anyone in about 10mins for the both, tops.

Spoiler is a PITA, i beta-linked mine, and the f****** glue was off and the date was on the cardboard box, not the tube so i didnt realise till it exploded all over the place and my hands. I had rubber coated hands for over a week, no shit. Get this dealer installed.

Performance stripes are something i'd recommend only a pro does. I saw how hard it is, and how easy to get bubbles so i left it to a person who specialises in stripes and car signage. Cost me about $120 inc GST

Exhaust, a peice of piss. Get a hoist, and a friendly mechanic and you could have it done for $50 in less then 30 mins tops.

As for kidney grills, they are a few screws, as is the cf rear diffuser. I'd install them myself for certain if i got them as there is no adjustment required and they match up perfectly with the standard fixtures.

Pedals are not difficult, just require precision and patience. I'd consider getting them installed by the dealer simply because you cant fill up holes if you screw up.

i knew they would be the wrong mirrors i'll have to sell them now unless they will take them off my hands and swap for the new shape .... but i doubt it.....

Tell me about it! Daily report-ins and kill stories perhaps? Should we order another car?

Hahaha... expensive addiction... ordering cars... that or we'll have to open another thread with the title of "those not waiting for their cars to arrive - post trauma/excitement - wait a minute - how do we respond to this thread when we are too busy driving our mean machines -"

Will post up some pics when the weather clears up but I'm really happy with it.

I dunno nick. They quoted 2 weeks but who knows. I'm just out enjoying her as she is at the moment. Haven't had a chance to play around with it yet! Will do that on my day off tomorrow. Stereo has way too much bass by default and my seat still isn't set up! But boy I love it!

Woohoo... Nick - lucky man.... I've been trying to get to the dealership this weekend - but it isn't going to happen - hence I'm hoping to pick up my baby next weekend - damn I'll bet you're excited.
