2013 One Lap of America
Getting ready for the 2013 One Lap of America.
May 4-11 starting at TireRack hdq in Southbend, Indiana, and going to tracks including NOLA, Daytona (road course), CMP, VIR and Pittsburgh Internt'l (formerly known as BeaveRun). Plus a couple of skidpads, an autox at Grissom Air Force base, a dragstrip (et and bracket) and an event at the BMW Performance Center. Official site: www.onelapofamerica.com and I'll be regularly posting on my Facebook Page (name Neil Simon). Put a couple of my sponsors decals on my car today. Neil |

Good luck man! My brother and I have been wanting to do that for a while now. TopSpeed Motorsports and Forged Performance are about 15 minutes away and love seeing their sucess.

I hope you can repeat last year's success and enjoy it to the fullest, good luck.

Let me know if I can help with info from an autocross perspective. I ran a Pro Solo last weekend and the Atlantic Championship Tour this weekend.

My co-driver Woody Hair will be driving the autox at Grissom. How would you recommend I alter set-up, especially tire pressures, for the concrete surface? I'll be running Z2 tires, 265/35 front and 285/35 rear. For the track, I usually start around 28-29 psi cold and shoot for 27-38 hot. I'd also be interested in your recommendations for the skid pad, both wet and dry. Thanks! Neil |

I've never run the Z2s. Woody will be a great resource on that. What are you doing for alignment(s)? Are you on 18" or 19" wheels. FWIW you can stuff 315 Hoosiers on the back. What struts shocks? Anything else on the car?

All good on the parts and set up. Only advice I think of from afar: "Don't lift."

Good luck, Neil! Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it down to NOLA, but I'll have my brother stop by. If you like gumbo, the Clubhouse at the track serves up one of the best in the city.
Don't worry about the gators as they tend to hang out at TPC New Orleans which is right down the street from NOLA. http://www.cbssports.com/golf/blog/e...zurich-classic Rich

I thought there was help from plates. I can get just under -2.0 in an all stock set up.

As I mentioned, I'm planning to post regularly on FB (Neil Simon).
Send me a request and I'll happily confirm you as a friend. Since I may not recognize your name, you may want to note something about our 1M bond. Thanks. Neil |

EDIT: I have a feeling that you may be the guy with the profile photo writing Master Automobile Technician at the back, if so you just received a request from me...and I guess I did wrong, that guy is from Florida!
