Did you end up getting the car repaired? I just picked up a Le Mans Blue 135i as well. I've always loved your build!

I ended up upgrading to my dream BMW, the 1M and I honestly couldn't be happier. Found in New Orleans sitting on a used car lot with 26,000 miles for $47,500. Got extremely lucky with the find. And of course, the mod bug struck and I had to scratch the itch for more power. So I went FBO with inlets. All in all, as sad as it was parting ways with my car I had for 5 years with many mods, miles, and smiles, I'm very happy with how things ended up! Glad there was a happy ending.
Just curious as to your driving impressions of a modded 135i and the stock 1M.

I had a certain expectation of just how much better the stock 1M would drive compared to my lowered and modified suspension in the 135, but after first getting behind the wheel, that expectation was quickly blown away. The car just feels so balanced. I wouldn't say it handles as well as an e46 chassis as there still can be a hint of understeer under the right conditions, but I would say it's damn close. I think of it as a more nimble and smaller e9x M3. A constant blast to drive. And I've also let several of my enthusiast friends and family drive the car, they all agree it's the most fun they've had driving a coupe around on the street.

That's awesome! Your new car looks amazing. Will you be starting a new build thread or continuing this one?
I'm pretty sure the one I just picked up is another member's previous car as well. I have a feeling I know who's it is. It is loaded with BMW performance parts lol. |

Congrats on the 1M pickup! Your other 1er was a great looking car! Looking forward to seeing what you do with the 1M!

Update almost 5 years later:
Car has been amazing, I can't picture ever parting ways with it. Stock turbos are starting to go, and just got done with a good amount of maintenance. Soon will be doing a single turbo swap, which I've been waiting to do for a long time on the N54 platform. Definitely looking forward to solid power towards redline, and that sweet sweet single turbo sound. Can't decide if I should continue the build thread in here or create a new thread altogether. Here are some pics I snapped today in its current state.

Finally hit the dyno after dialing in the tune over multiple months with Trebilla. 26psi Speedtech 6266, direct injection only. PFS POD hpfp overdrive + Stage 3 PFS dual LPFPs. 95* ambient temp outside. Fuel mix was E50.
