Go to BMWVIN.com and enter the last 7 of your VIN - if it's an "is" model, you will see this code:

P7MFA Sports Edition - this was available for the 2013 MY only

You will also see the factory 313 wheels:
S2NFA BMW LA wheel, M Double Spoke 313

For a factory M Sport edition (which you have), you will see these:

P337A M Sports package
S2MRA BMW LA wheel, dual spoke 261

Looks like someone added an "s" to your decklid

Based on that i assumed it was a 135is but after doing some reading (here and other places) it appears that there are a couple of things that do not match. For instance my car has the 261 style wheels and is not listed in the VINs on page 16.

My car is the vin's is the one between these two below (and matches the description of #106):

106 | VM13571 | 9/14/2012 | Alpine White | Blk Sensatec | M6
105 | VM13569 | 9/14/2012 | Alpine White | Blk/Blue | M6

Did a prior owner decided to just add the batches? Is there anything else i can look for that would be a dead giveaway?

Hi Bama,

Thanks for the response. Judging from this link it looks like the performance package was included in this package.

http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/E8...search?s=P337A

i was planning on taking it to get some touchups done on the paint. will have them remove the "s" badge on the back as well as the one inside.

Edit: looking at the chart on pg 17 looks like my car is the only white/black/mt car produced in 2013. That is kind of cool.

The 135is should be relatively rare, but is also reproducible by adding bits to a 135i MSport coupe.
Huge fan of the 135is but I think these numbers comparison to M cars are misleading. Cars like the M3 have different sheetmetal altogether, aluminum suspension, even the shock housings, different steering, brakes, etc. Some of the stuff is not bolt on. While the 135is is the baddest 135i package it is all bolt on options. The only substantial difference from a regular 135i is the extra radiator and 20 horsepower but that was a BMW performance kit you could buy. So again, love the 135is especially in Blue but the comparisons on numbers are misleading IMHO.

The 135is was sold in the US only, with the Performance goodies being added at the US port. The Canadian M Sport Edition is a similar model minus the added Performance parts. They came in a variety of colors. Both models came as a convertible as well.

The 135is is a rare package not a rare car. The M3 is a different car. The 135is while an awesome package is not a different car it's a package of port installed options and an unfair comparison. I have seen this a lot that is more rare than than a Ferrari assembled by blind monks on a Tibetan mountain top.

There seemed to be a delay between the first 135is built and regular production.
#1 really does look like a trial model.

parameter416 I JUST saw that too!
I have #426 on Esteban list above - 2013 LeMans Blue with Black/Blue interior 135is that has all the goodies and only 64k miles on it...

I REALLY don't want to part with the car but I'm in need of a bigger DD and seriously considering selling it after just seeing that last BAT sale... yea sure it's not a 13K undriven vehicle but damn....
Does anyone know if this forum has a healthy marketplace? Or should I go the BAT route?

Cheers,

I see mine on the list! I think even less common are the 6 speed manuals, which I ordered when I purchased it. Still own the car as of 2021!
