Saw a 2013 M3 with a "peel and stick" lic plate. Some kind of process where they take a picture of your plate and transfer it to a reflective sticky backed 3M product. It looked pretty slick. Pretty much a license plate decal. No holes to drill!

Unfortunately, that's still illegal in most states.

Realize I am necroing this thread. Figured it might help someone. Got the idea from a post in the 335i section. Figured I'd post my OCD version. So, I probably wasted entirely too much time on this but...I did this to my 135i but painted all the components black beforehand with some extra gloss black paint I had in my garage. I also bought and used nylon screws for the front and used vacuum line rubber tips for the top ones to prevent marring the actual bumper.
(Sorry for the blurry first pic and the filthy car)

Sorry. Should have linked the other thread.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=374893

Here is what I used:

Bracket

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Fender Washers

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Nylon Bolts

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Toggle Bolts (used nylon bolts, not the included ones) - This is the key part for attachment to the FMIC grille.

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Rubber Washers

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Vacuum Caps (only used 2 that had about a 1/4 snug opening)

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Total cost of parts was about $50...with leftovers...
