Found out I still have some funky transmission problem, still.

It's either time/load related or somehow speed/gear related.

Manual mode.
Lean on it in 4th from about 60.
Shift to 5th around 5,500rpm.
Holds 5th for a second, jerks and shifts to 4th?
Display reads 6th because that's what I click up to because of the jerk.
Let off and let it coast. Takes 2-3 seconds and rpm drops and it shifts to 6th, display never changes.

I'm not paying much attention to the cluster because of speed. So not sure what's really going on. But I kind think the trans is just saying, I donwannaanymoa.

No issues at all in 1/2/3.

Nothing a little 6MT won't fix.

Sorry. Sounds worse than a stock Mercedes, but I have no insight to offer.

The 8 speed sounds more appealing to me.

PO in mine did the dead pedal but not the others. Mats were black with BMW monogram when I got it, I didn't even notice the M on the deadpedal til threads here mentioned. Seems more pronounced now with BMW's beige no-monogram mat set, but it's so stealth it's cool anyway, just for that.

I'll end up doing the pedal pads soon, just for the "improved braking and throttle response" I'll get from pedals that are easier to find

Have you ever done a fluid & filter change? My AT is the GM and I did it as a preventative maint thing but the shifts got better.

And, aside from the fluid change question, are you still running the custom shift points? or did you go back to the Stage 3 OTS map? I remember you fighting custom shift points quite a while ago...

My M-sport car came with the M dead pedal, so I left it as is. I like the extra grip with these new pedals, although that may come from them simply being new, rather than being some design advantage.

Just dropped off the e88 for window tint. I've found these non tinted windows let in a ton of solar heat. Did this to my old 128 and control of heat was vastly improved, AC worked much better...

A couple times.

I have to go back over that. It shouldn't be an issue because I didn't change it much.
It seems like it's something to do with the kickdown, which I have coded out and turned off everywhere I could find. I just haven't been ballsy enough to do back to back testing ... If it is broke I don't want to make it worse, ya'know. It'll happen once and I'm like yup, be nice, get home.

Had my front tires mounted and installed at America's Tire. Now I finally have a square setup.

Like when they installed my rears, the slobs at America's Tire left their grubby fingerprints on my trunk lid and fenders.

Nice. My car only came with the M Suspension option.....but nothing else like the headliner or steering wheel that I've read about.

Pic looks good, wheels look great. They go really well with your Alpine White paint.

I've got the M dead pedal. Really don't care about the M just for the sake of an M.

I also have the Anthracite headliner. Goes with my black interior. Even better to me is the M steering wheel, which I love.

Ordered 3M vinyl for the sunroof delete panel...I'll do the install right this time, and not in 30 degree weather with no heat gun by my side. We also have some Avalon King Armor Shield 9 ceramic coating on the way, and my car gets to be guinea pig. That also means that I have to polish my car, and get it lookin' real spiffy before I seal it in. I'll probably only be able to do a panel per day And then, I get to do my mother's F-150, which will surely take forever, and eventually my father's GTI. But, I'll get more car parts out of it, which is always a good thing.

I've got my first track day on Sunday, which I'm super excited for. My alignment feels amazing, and I'm excited to see how the solid rear subframe bushings will feel on the track (they felt amazing in the mountains).

Edit: Added pics of the new slicktop headliner from the UK, and the tall-boy Condor shift knob that I got for Christmas but never took a picture of. Yes, the shift boot is wrong; it is also from the UK, and their shifter surrounds are mirrors of ours, hence the weird stretch at the bottom left.
